Hello I'm trying to find a replacement power cord and adapter for my HP envy laptop, I got one off of amazon however the adapter will overheat and has stopped charging my laptop. Can someone help with finding a replacement? Thanks!

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

You need this charger part number:

 

L24008-001
A/C Adapter - 65W, nPFC SLIM, 4.5mm, 1.8M

 

The power cord that goes from the wall socket to the charger is sold separately.

 

L22319-001
Power cord - C5 1.0M STR Prm NA

 

What I suggest you do is to search on eBay for a genuine used but tested and working power adapter.

 

Search by the HP part number.

 

The used adapters usually come with the power cord as well.
