So I was looking into the HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop - 15z touch, and I did not want to get the M.2 right now but wanted to upgrade to one in the future. Does this laptop come with one if I order it with the HDD and what size and max speed be. Also can I upgrade the RAM to 16Gb if I only get 8Gb

My experiences: buy it right now because you may NOT get the second chance to add M.2 SSD. Buying machine with M.2 SSD now you can add 2.5" HDD/SSD later but buying Single Storage configuration with 2.5" HDD right now you may not get a motherboard which has M.2 SSD slot.
By the way. This is a CTO series, you can pick options on the list for RAM, Storage and few other options.
Again, believe me, upgrade storage, RAM now, this will ending up cheaper.
Regards.
