HP Pavilion 15-bc514tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have hybrid storage laptop with M.2 slot (in which there is pre-installed NvMe SSD of 512 GB) and additional free slot for installing hard drive. I want to install SATA SSD in the below free slot in my laptop-

Can anyone please guide me how to do it?

- Which cables do I need? Is SATA required?

- Where should I plug in the cable?

Thanks in advance.

I understand that you would like to upgrade the SATA SSD.

I have checked the manual ( page number 😎

Your model has 2 Internal card expansion One M.2 slot for WLAN module One M.2 slot for solid-state drives. No more ports are available.

Your product support Dual storage configuration

1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm/7.2 mm hard drive + 512 GB SATA, TLC, M.2 solid-state drive

1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm/7.2 mm hard drive + 128 GB SATA, TLC, M.2 solid-state drive
