Hallo,
I am using HP Spectre Laptop, Model 13-4021ng running Windows 10 (64 bit).
The laptop only works with power cable connected and the battery charge level remains constant at 79%.
If the power cable is removed the laptop shuts down within 2 minutes. One has to start over,
With power cable connected, it can work for hours without any problems.
I ran an UEFI component test for battery and got the following error message:
Quote"
Akku Test: Primär - Austauschen (42)
Error ID 94NEEWX-7L9ARW-MFPWMF-C0A003
Peimärer Akku
"Unquote
Although the error report is in German, I believe it is understanable.
My questions:
- Is the error report suggesting exchanging the battery?
- What does the error ID 94NEEWX-7L9ARW-MFPWMF-C0A003 mean?
- Is there a catalog/list of error IDs which describes what each error iD means?
Unfortunately I didn't find any such list pertaining to HP Error IDs.
Can anyone suggest how to interpret the error ID code and to solve the problem, please?
Thanks for your support in advance
Best regards

Make sure you have that Error Code correct because when I copy and paste it into the translator I get this:
| 94NEEWX-7L9ARW-MFPWMF-C0A003 | Failed | 1/1/01 |
Checksum failed is bad because it would tend to indicate a bad BIOS chip and I am pretty sure that is not your issue. If that is the original battery the laptop is like 5 or 6 years old and its almost certain the battery needs replacement. HP will likely no longer stock it but if you need we can provide replacement instructions either a Manual or video or maybe both. And give you a link to purchase a reliable replacement. Viel Glueck.

Hi Huffer,
Thanks for your fast response.
I am sorry, I made a typo while entering the error ID. The correct error ID should read:
94NEWX-7L9ARW-MFPWMF-C0A003
I hope this would help you to diagnose the error in clear text.
Looking forward to the results of your investigation.
Thanks and best regards
