Dear HP Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently purchased a HP 832a motherboard-equipped system and upgraded the RAM to a 3200MHz module. However, upon installation, I noticed that the RAM is running at a default speed of 2400MHz instead of its rated speed.
I've explored the BIOS settings, but I couldn't find any options for enabling XMP or manually configuring the RAM speed. I've also ensured that the RAM is compatible with the motherboard.
I understand that some motherboards may have limitations in terms of overclocking or adjusting certain settings. However, I'm keen to maximize the performance of my system and would appreciate any guidance or assistance you can provide in enabling the RAM to run at its rated speed.
If there are any BIOS updates or specific steps I can take to achieve this, I would be grateful for your advice. Ensuring stability is important to me, so I'm eager to follow any recommendations you may have.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and assistance.

The intended scope of this forum is all about the manufactured end user product.
For that reason you will find that threads describe an HP product name and/or product number (SKU).
At the moment, I can't even look your laptop's configuration up because you did not take the time to abide by the forum's request to provide that information.
The BIOS of a manufactured pre-built laptop is not like that of an enthusiast motherboard for a DIY desktop.
There are no granular adjustments possible in the BIOS.
If you want to be able to adjust bus and memory multipliers and timings you will have to go the DIY route.
If you install memory that is compatible, but that runs above the default speed that the BIOS and system board require, it will be set back to the default memory bandwidth by the BIOS.
There are no BIOS updates that will change that.
The chipset on the system board has its design parameters and the BIOS is the guardian at the gate that enforces the defaults.
