HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0015nc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I need to upgrade my power supply unit.

PC: HP Pavilion Gaming 690-0015nc

I found out that my motherboard, Lincs, has a proprietary connector.

See Figure "ATX1 on motherboard1".

I have also attached  image of the "old supply power".

According to ChatGPT, the old power supply should be: L05757-004.

The cable goes from P2 to the ATX1 on the motherboard.

My new power supply unit has a 6-pin connector. So my main question is:

Is there an adapter that I can use to connect my new power supply unit to the motherboard?

Can you recommend an official or unofficial sellers/e-shops?

At first, I thought the connector was a SATA 7-pin cable.

Surprisingly, I was wrong.

I do not have much knowledge about hardware.

Best regards,         Images: https://imgur.com/a/atx1-on-motherboard1-aDPjtyn

Hi @Ubrousek

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I see that there is an issue with the hardware and may need modifications.

I've sent you a private message with the instructions. In the emantime:

Local PC Hardware Stores:

  • If you have any local computer hardware stores, it may be worth checking with them. They might have generic adapters or could help create a custom solution.

Considerations

Compatibility: Make sure any adapter you consider is confirmed to work with your specific model. Double-check the pinout and specifications.

Power Requirements: Ensure your new power supply can provide sufficient wattage for your system components.

Safety: Using non-standard adapters can sometimes lead to issues, including power instability or damage to components. If you're uncertain, consulting with a local technician or a knowledgeable friend may be wise.

We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Take care and have a good day.

-Regards
