I want to install 2nd HDD on my X360 Laptop. It has a M.2 SDD already.
There is a empty space for 2nd HDD.
I need help to understand,
1. How do I host the HDD in place?
2. What type of connector cable is need? I dont see any SATA port near by to connect HDD.
Thanks

Thanks a lot for a quick and clear answer. I live in UK, where do I get these parts in UK?And can I use M.2 SSD instead of SATA SSD in place of 2nd SDD using any adapter? (Is there any Adapter for M.2 SSD to this interface)

Any kind of storage device you would use in addition to the M.2 in the M.2 slot on the motherboard would have to connect through that zif cable port we talked about so you would need a proprietary HP part which is just very hard if not impossible to locate. On this model there is not even a way to use a DVD (optical) drive adapter as there is no optical drive port inside the laptop. The price of M.2 SSDs has come down quite a bit in the last few months and your best and easiest upgrade may well be to just get rid of your 256 gig M.2 and get a 1 TB which should be sufficient storage. It might even be cheaper than trying to find these HP parts and certainly easier.
HP UK Parts Store just says the cable is "not orderable" and suggests you call a reseller:
I did find the cable on UK eBay shipped from the USA:
Also the rubber sleeve:
So you would have the cost of the drive you want to add plus $60 or so in the parts and shipping and I am suggesting you can upgrade to a 1 TB M.2 for close to that.
Please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
