Hello 

i wanted to upgrade my laptop with SSD and move the original HDD to caddy.

so my question is what is the best type of SSD to use, like the new m.2 SSD would it be compatible with my laptop, if not so what is the best fastest SSD upgrade?

We know enough to know you have a dv6-3000 era laptop which will be too old to have an M.2 or other new generation type slot in it, but the 2.5 inch SATA mechanical hard drive can easily be replaced with a 2.5 inch SATA SSDlike this one:

Its a very easy procedure:
