Can I install M 2 ssd in my laptop?

Please advise me

1 M 2 SATA SSD

2 M 2 PCIE SSD

Which type of ssd is suitable with my laptop ?

Hi:

 

If your notebook has a M.2 slot, it supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

Since chapter 3, page 17 of the manual shows additional parts are needed for the M.2 slot, your notebook may not have these parts since it did not come with a M.2 SSD from HP.

 

(21) Solid-state drive board         L00159-001
The solid-state drive board cable is available using spare part number  L01440-001.

 

That is why you need to open up the notebook first to check that the slot is there before buying a M.2 SATA SSD.
