I was given a WD Blue 3D NAND Sata SSD for Christmas and I've just started looking at fitting it into my HP Envy laptop. I can see the M2 slot but before I actually fit it, 2 questions:
1 - Would it be compatible with my laptop and
2 - If it is, do I need to change anything in the BIOS (can you?) or would it just "work"?

@ForteanJo
Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
I see you need help in upgrading the SSD, on HP ENVY - 17-ae108ca notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive installed on the PC.
Next thing, I would suggest here is to go through the Maintenance and Service guide of your HP notebook, and found that your PC supports M.2 slot for the solid-state drive.
To get the answer to this question, Yes! it is compatible and changes can be done in bios.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
