i want to install additional storage in my Pavilion 15-cw0034ur 4TV62EA. If im right i need to buy m2.nvme ssd with M key on it. Is there are any specific models i must look for, or any ssd would work. Any firmware, bios updates will be neded?

From page 2 of the manual, the series supports dual storage with M.2 SATA SSD drive + 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD.
Storage
Support for all 7.2 mm/9.5 mm, SATA, 2.5-inch hard drives:
Support for solid-state drive + hard drive
Support for M.2 SATA/PCIe solid-state drive
Accelerometer/Hard drive protection support
Single hard drive configurations:
1-TB, 5400-rpm, 7.2 mm
Dual storage configurations:
128-GB, SATA, TLC, solid-state drive + 1-TB, 5400-rpm, 7.2 mm hard drive (this is one pre-installed option)
You should be able to add M.2 SATA SSD drive to your machine
