Hi everyone,
Can I install an M.2 SSD on my HP Notebook 14-cf0014dx? Is there a slot for another drive or will I have to take out the existing drive? Any suggestions on the drive specifications that I should use for this model will be appreciated as well. Thanks

Its specs

Manual

Your machine has Intel® Core™ i3-7100U (2.4 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores) processor therefore it supports dual storage. If has 128 GB M.2 SSD now, you can add 2.5" HDD/SSD to your machine but you need 2 parts listed on page 36 of the manual.
Parts with prefix "L" are new and very hard to find. You can ask HP authorized service providers in your country for help.
Regards.

Hi, @Hera01
There is only one M.2 slot for a SSD, which is currently occupied in your notebook according to the specs.

According to chapter 1 of the service manual, your notebook's M.2 slot supports both SATA and NVMe SSD's.
