Hi all, I am planning to fit new SSD into m.2 slot for Pavilion 15-cs0033tx. I understand that pav15-cs0033TX have extra slot for m.2.
I have two question:
1. Can I install new pcle / nvme SSD type instead SATA SSD into my new pav15-cs0033TX?
2. And if I can install that pcle/nvme SSD, can I install OS on that SSD for rebooting? As far as I understand, there is no problem to install OS into SATA type SSD, I just want to know regarding pcie/nvme SSD.
Sorry to ask a lot questions I just don't want to buy a incompatible ssd. Really appreciated if someone have experience with this can help me.
Thanks

Hello @Pijie9,
Yes, according to your computer's Maintenance and Service Guide, PCIe NVMe SSDs will also work.
You have options from HP although they are most likely not available, unfortunately. Instead, you can choose from other options such as the Samsung PM961 which is a recommended option from the other Experts.
You can find installation steps here.
You can most definitely reinstall the OS onto the brand new SSD. You can use backups, cloning, fresh install, or original HP recovery media.
I like to recommend using HP Recovery Media to reinstall the original OS and the fresh install for if you would like to start with a fresh copy of Windows 10. You don't need your product key. I don't really recommend cloning or using backups.
Hope this helps,
Eddy
