My harddrive is slow and the netire computer is slowing down, this is after reseting it almost every week, so I wanted to get an ssd to change out the hdd. I looked at the manual and it has a 1tb 54000RPM harddrive, and I want to install an ssd into it. I have included the link to the specs for it. I was looking at the PNY 250gb ssd and I was wondering what sort of specific ssd to buy to install in. I also wanted to increase the ram on it. I have no clue how to go about doing it, as well as installing windows 10 onto the ssd since the current hdd is compromised. Thank you, if possible if people could include links into what to get, I am looking for an ssd that will last me a couple of years and ram that will work well.

The ssd I was looking at but unsure of since the reviews say it doesnt last too long

The PNY SATA 2,5" SSD will work.
My own preferences are Samsung or Crucial products.
See the link below this line for guaranteed compatible memory and SSD prtoduct from Crucial memory.

16GB is the maximum supported installed memory.
Check in Windows Explorer to see if you have more than 90% of the hard disk's capacity full. That will really slow down a PC. If you have never deleted the files in the TMP or Temp folder you will also have a slow PC or notebook.

oh wow, thank you, I was wondering if I get the samsung or the pny, how long will it last, because some of the reviews said they only lasted a couple of months. I was also wondering about if the ram I linked would work?

About the specific ram you asked about, I wouldn't try it. If upgrading a notebook I always buy and install guaranteed compatible RAM.
