Installing a new ssd

Hi! I bought this pc with the thought that I would upgrade it from it's native SSD that was on around 512gb to a new one for more storage... But it's seems it's harder than I thought. When I have slotted in the new SSD (Kingston KC300 NMVe) in the M.2 slot i proceeded with the installation of Windows 11 from a USB stick. But the PC can't find the new SSD when I am about to choose which driver I want to install Windows in. 

And when I install a SATA drive along with the old SSD (that already have WIndows) the computer won't start at all.

Hi:

What model Intel processor does your PC come with?

If it has an Intel 11th - 13th gen core processor you have to install the storage controller drivers that I zipped up and attached below so that Windows can see the new NVMe SSD.

Unzip and copy the driver folder to a USB flash drive. Plug the flash drive in one of your PC's USB ports.

Click on the 'Load driver' option when you are at the screen where Windows can't find any drives to install on.

Browse to the USB flash drive with the storage controller drivers.

If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

Click Next, and hopefully, Windows will install.
