Hi, I recently bought an HP 255 G9 with 8 GB RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. I intend to add a second SATA SSD in the available slot. For this purpose I already purchased the necessary hard drive board, code L52024-001.
My question is: the vendor sent me a hdd board with the label "HP 250 G8" and say it is the same. Is that correct? The markings on the board are "HP 15s-dy" and "HP LS-H323P"; I looked in the maintenance and service guides, and the hdd board models for both G8 and G9 have the same spare part number, so I'm inclined to agree, but I wanted to get a third opinion, just in case.
Also, the hdd board has the cable attached to it. This means I don't need a separate hdd board cable, right?
Besides this, do I need other spare parts for the installation of a sata drive? (I have not opened the case yet and I want to have all the needed parts when I do, so I won't need to put it back and then open it again if I am missing some parts)
