Pavilion 15-191od
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to upgrade the HD to an SSD on 15-bs191od. My other laptops have access panels but this one requires complete disassembly. Cannot find instructions on the web. Can anyone point me to disassembly instructions?

Got it done. Optical drive does not NEED to be removed. The plastic piece attached to it must be removed. It popped off when trying to remove the optical drive. Then went around the case and popped it off.

Replaced the Tishiba 1TB HD with a Adata 1/2 TB SSD. OMG - the difference in performane is NIGHT and DAY !!! At least 10X improvement !!!

I found the manual. Removed the battery. Removed the screw holding the optical drive. No way does the optical drive  it come out. Even extended the tray out to help. Nothing. Pulled all the screws out. Tried to start prying at the left hinge (with battery positioned near me). Nothing. What do I need to do to get the optical drive out ??? Thanks.
