Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to add a 512GB SSD to my notebook (HP 15-r007tx Notebook PC). Can I replace my optical DVD drive with a SSD and boot from it i.e. make it my main drive ? If this is not possible, is there any other way to do it.

Kindly add some amazon product links for suggested products.

Thanks in advance

The specs of your machine is

You can REPLACE 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA with a 2.5" SATA-3 SSD drive (1TB or 2TB). then put old HDD to the optical drive for storage because put SSD to the optical bay won't give you boot speed as your thought.

You can find 2.5" SATA-3 SSD drives from nearly all good computer shops or from Amazon
