HP Spectre x360 - 13-ae024tu

Hi there,

I have a Spectre x360 which I purchased about 4 years ago. It has an Intel (R) UHD graphics driver (version 23.20.16.5044) which has a date of April 2018. It seems it's never been updated & a check reveals it's still considered the 'latest' driver for my laptop.

I tried to update the driver manually from the Intel website, but have had no luck as the HP system prevents me doing this.

The un-updated driver is impacting my ability to accurately edit videos.

Why doesn't HP update graphics drivers regularly? I read somewhere these should be updated every 3-6 months. How can I get around this?

TIA!

Hi:

Did you try the method I wrote about in the knowledge base article at the link below?

That should work.

I certainly did - copied every step. The Driver update says that the 'current' driver (2018) is the applicable one & wouldn't let me update.

Incredibly disappointing!! 😞

If you cannot manually update your drivers, then I will suggest you use driver updater software like Advanced Driver Updater or Driver Booster. They can help you to fix any outdated or corrupted drivers in your PC.
