Hi All,
I have HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-ch0xx Laptop 2018 with
- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version: 19043.1023 / 21H1
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz
- Intel Corporation JHL6340 Thunderbolt 3 Bridge (C step) [Alpine Ridge 2C 2016] [8086:15da] (rev 02)
SO when I tried to install TBC Firmware update sp113453 - which is now looks like available for ALL HP Spectre x360 Laptops - its FAILED Error: 0x209 SDK_LOAD_CONTROLLERS_ERROR this means needs to updated Thunderbolt Driver to DCH version which sadly also FAILED!
BTW this is exactly SAME TBC which is in NUC7i3bnh/NUC8i7BEH, however looks like this Device is NOT supported with ANY Intel TBC Windows Driver!
Now I have 4x of these listed as PCI-to-PCI Bridge with 2006 MS Driver, speed is like 40MB/sec on USB 3.1 Gen 2 Port!!

"Surprisingly" even the 'original' Drivers from HP Spectre 15-ch000 x360 Convertible PC Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support sp95403,sp84487
NOT supporting this JHL6340 15DA version, like this is never "existed"!
I think also good question WHY HP put 2016 Chip in 2018 Flagship, expensive Model especially without Driver Support?!
I tried BOTH Intel NUC TBC Drivers, without result!
-Thunderbolt™ 3 DCH Driver for Windows® 10 for Intel® NUC Version: 1.41.1094.0 (Latest) Date: 12/4/2020
-Thunderbolt™ 3 Legacy Driver for Windows® 10 for Intel® NUC Version: 17.4.77.400 (Latest) Date: 2/22/2019
I also tried - almost - ALL HP SP for Thunderbolt
-SP78559,SP81603,SP83931,SP84487,SP87988,SP92028,SP100927,SP102376,SP1088822,SP110576
NONE of it's compatible because in the .INF files there are 15D2,15D9,15DC,15DD,15DE, BUT NOT 15DA!
'Of course' I already tried to Edit the INF files to include this Device ID, BUT then because of Driver Signature verification its FAILED as well!
