Common problems for Battery

I seem unable to enter Intel MEBx on my notebook to configure Intel AMT. I tried F6 as well as CTRL-P on POST and also thoroughly searched the BIOS setup for hints what to enable to no avail.

How can this be achieved on this notebook?

Which BIOS setting is crucial to be enabled?

Thanks,

Christian

BTW the windows tool hwinfo64 (DMI  - Intel vPro) reports the following while ark.intel.com states Intel vPro® Eligibility:
Intel vPro® Enterprise + Intel® Active Management Technology (AMT): Yes.

  Intel AMT Pro: Not Supported

  Intel AMT Basicc: Not Supported

Hi @xcasdqwdqwdqw

Not all BIOSes have this option. First, create an administrator password. Then, when you enter the BIOS as an administrator, go to advanced options and see if the “Remote Management Options” link is active. Click there to activate it.

I created the Administrator Password in BIOS. Unfortunately (even after reboot), there's no "Remote Management Options" Entry in Advanced, only "Secure Platform Management - Remote Device Management" under Security (see attached20250829_073553.jpg20250829_073602.jpg20250829_073612.jpg pictures).

Any idea how I may escalate this question to an expert at HP? Tried the call center but... don't ask.

Not all Zbooks have the ATM option in the BIOS. I have a Zbook Power and it does not have that feature. If it is not in the BIOS, you cannot use that feature. I recommend downloading HPIA and checking the BIOS settings in that program. You can also search for BIOS features.

Download Intel® Management and Security Status from Microsoft and check if you have a version of MBex.

Thanks for tips. I checked the MS tool and also get N/A for MEBx. What a pity and entirely unexpected given I purchased an Intel CPU that supports the feature.

Most Intel CPUs support AMT, but other features and chips must be installed.
