That shouldn't be a problem as long as the 2 TB drive you want to install is the same thickness as the 1 TB drive.
If the drive is not solid state, the thickness may be different.
Hard drives come in 7.0 mm thickness and 9.5 mm thickness, so you need to know that information first.
Most solid-state drives are 7.0 mm in thickness.
