Does an Intenso Internal M.2 2280 SSD SATA III Top, 256 GB, 550MB/S fit into an HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook 15-ak003ng Product number T1K72EA?
Or does anyone know of other alternatives with 256GB or 512 GB?

Any M.2 SATA SSD should work fine.

The WD Blue SA510 SATA M.2 SSD series is another one to look into.

The drive capacities listed in the service manual are just what HP offered in the model series.

Many thanks for your quick response, I have read the description and think the WD Blue should fit the interface and I hope it fits the motherboard.

You're very welcome.

If you google the 838954-001-part number from chapter 3 of the service manual for the 256 GB M.2 SATA SSD, you will find that it is M.2 2280 like the WD Blue SA510.

And this is what the drive currently installed in your notebook looks like:

Thank you for your recommendation. Eventually, I decided on  the WD Blue SA250 SATA M.2 SSD. It works perfectly.
