I've just bought a HP Pavilion 15-cw1598sa 15.6in laptop. I'm looking to add a standard SATA 3 SSD into the empty drive bay inside the laptop.
Problem is HP have left an empty bay, a motherboard had connection point but no flex / ribbon connector for it .
Can anyone help me with the part number of the connector please ?

Well what a saga this is turning out to be. Ive spent the last couple of days searching the web and even Ebay, to little avail. Nothing appears to be available in the uk. Checked HP Parts store , unavailable. Checked with their partners , the same . Only place i could source both parts was in the US. Total price including shipping £114.
£114 for a cable and a bracket is insane. Considering thre laptop cost me £700 thats a large percentage to spend on such small items. Looks like its going to have to be an external USB 3.0 SATA enclosure for now. Very frustrating though knowing that empty bay is just sitting there. Really surprised these parts are so hard to come by.
