I want to buy a HP Pavilion 15t-eg100 on Hp.com in the USA for the purpose of gifting it to my nephew who lives in Vietnam. I understand it has to be shipped to my home address in the USA first. I wonder if HP offers international warranty package. How much does it cost?
Do I need to request a global tag transfer from my name to my nephew’s name? Is the laptop model Hp Pavilion 15t-eg100 available for sale in Vietnam at an authorized retailer?
The cost of buying a laptop in Vietnam is very expensive, almost double the discount price I can find on Hp USA. I can send him money so that he can buy it in Vietnam but that method doesn’t help me save money. I want to clarify that I don’t do re-sale business to export any product out of the USA. I just simply want to gift my relative a laptop legally. Please help answer my questions. Thank you very much.

Not that simple. Please read the following FAQ's
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bpr01266
which clearly says
HP Global Warranty covers HP products at the level of standard warranty offered in the country in which it is used. For example, a product purchased in country "A" and moved to country "B" receives the current warranty coverage provided by country "B" (if that product is marketed or supported in country B).
Generally, machine won't be available in Vietnam therefore your nephew has to send machine back to the US for repair.
Regards.

Thank you for your answer. If I buy a laptop model that is marketed officially in Vietnam, then the HP authorized service provider in Vietnam can provide warranty service to the laptop because they have available parts and labor locally to help fix the laptop . How do I check if a HP laptop model is marketed officially in Vietnam? What are the authorized HP retailers in Vietnam?
I know Dell computer will require a Global Tag Transfer (or Ownership and Warranty Transfer for Premium Support service), and I wonder if HP requires similar process. I am the original purchaser and I think HP will automatically register my name and address if I buy it directly on Hp.com. When I gift the HP laptop to my nephew in Vietnam , so should he try to register the product again on HP website?
