Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Notebook 14-am135TX, Core i5-7200U with 4GB DDR4-2133 SODIMM. I'm planning to upgrade the RAM into 8GB, but I only found an 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM here in my place (Cebu, Philippines). Is 8GB DDR4-SODIMM compatible to Core i5-7200U processor?

Yes DDR4-2400 will downclock to match the existing 2133 module.

I see. Once the new RAM is installed, do I have to modify my laptop in order to downclock the frequency or it will just perform automatically?
