I want to upgrade my storage for speed. my laptop 840 G1 has a m2 SSD slot and I wanna know which type of SSD can be put in it i.e. mSata or NVMe
NVMe is my preferred choice of degradation. Plz, tell me whether it is supported by my laptop or not?

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.
Your notebook's M.2 slot supports SATA SSD's only, not NVMe.
Looking at your screenshot, it appears your notebook uses the M.2 2242 size SATA SSD and not the more common M.2 2280.
