Pavilion DV6-6186nr
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I'm wondering if I can add an mSata ssd as a bootable drive to my laptop (Pavilion DV6-6186nr), there is a half-size wifi card connected to a mini-pcie slot but not sure wether this slot is connected to that sata controller or not.

is there any one who can verify (yes/no) please or provide a method to verify such is hwinfo64, what sort of information should I look for please?

BTW, this is the best ssd I've found so far that can fit the half-size spot available in the laptop

Thanks,

Tri

@Tri_media

No, it does not have PICe port foe mSATA, the port could be for a WWAN port.

Hi Banhien and thanks for replying,

If I may ask again please, is this for my model only or for all DV6 series ? because MyDigital claims that their mSata ssds are compatible with DV6 series.

Thanks again,

Tri

From your post: "there is a half-size wifi card connected to a mini-pcie slot ", WWAN card also need antennas therefore they can link.
