Hi, I am looking to purchase one of these two Laptop devices (HP Pavilion 14-dv2513sa and HP Pavilion Plus 14-eh0500sa) however my preferrence is to purchae one where I can upgrade the RAM.

Which of these two devices has RAM slots and memory can be upgarded?

Is the RAM soldered to the MOBO and cannot be upgraded?

@Gamja07,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

According to: https://www.memorystock.com/memory/HewlettPackardPavilion14dv2513sa.html, an HP Pavilion 14-dv2513sa has upgradeable RAM, whereas an HP Pavilion Plus 14-eh0500sa according to: https://kaas.hpcloud.hp.com/pdf-public/pdf_5910184_en-US-1.pdf, does not: "Integrated, not customer accessible or upgradeable supporting up to 16 GB of RAM".

Hope this was helpful.

Ram is usually not soldered. You can open the laptop and check it yourself if it's soldered or not. Also, yo umeed to purchase a ram of the same gb and of the same DDR version.
