HP Envy Laptop 17m-ce0013dx USExample: Pavilion 65XX
iOS

I have never purchased refurbished; yet, when I sent my HP back under accident warranty, they said they couldn't fix it, but would send refurbished. My immediate thought was someone else's discard; yet, it is what it is, and that's what they do.

I love HP. I've gone through 2 HPs the past 5 yrs, and I believe this is what I returned; yet, I thought I paid a lot more. My history only shows 3 purchases now though. This could be the previous one purchased after my $2450.00 VAIO died:

Summary of savings

  •  Instant discounts:     •  $812.50 Total Discounts

Subtotal: $937.49 Shipping & handling: Free SC Tax: $65.62

Total: $1,003.11

So, the replacement sent is: HP ENVY Laptop RFRBD 17M-ceoo13dx US. Does anyone know anything about that model?

I researched the logo which is the new design for 2019 (or 2013 .... : ( It is the 4 lines rather than the letters HP. A diamond design is also across the BandO speakers that I don't think I recall; yet, I have a lot on me, so I could be wrong.

Anyway, if anyone recognizes this refurb model, please let me know if it seems decent. Thanks.

This is a high end laptop. And it is not a "refurbished model" it is the same as would have been sold as new but has been made subject to HP's refurbishment process. In most cases, it is overstock that did not sell within the original product lifecycle so is essentially new product. It possibly is a return but if so it has been thoroughly gone over and brought up to original specs usually with a new battery and hard drive/SSD.

In order to say whether its equivalent to what you had I would need to know the model of your prior laptop...the only way this model you got might be inferior is if your old one was a gaming machine with a high end dedicated video chip. This one however, other than that, has all the bells and whistles.

Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
