I am going to install a Samsung EVO 860 512GB SSD to my Pavilion gaming 15. There is 512GB SSD installed at present and want to add another SSD instead of a HD. I want to know if I will need to get a cable for the SSD to install it or is there one already in the laptop in the HD space?

@bptrav11 Welcome to HP Community!
You have to purchase the SATA cable.
Please get this cable from local stores.

Thank you for the response but you are mistaken with you answer. After opening and wanting to confirm whether I would have to purchase a cable I found that there is already a spare cable and HDD caddie present for the upgrade.
