HP Omen 15-ek1013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have my laptop connected to a caldigit ts3 plus dock via Thunderbolt 3 cable. Everything else seems to work fine but the laptop does not charge using thunderbolt. The dock is rated at 86w output to the laptop. Am I missing something?

The specs of your machine is

It requires a 200 W Smart AC power adapter.  How much "juice" available on your caldigit ts3 plus dock . I test my HP Omen  with an HP dock with 100W output and the dock can only  charge my Omen when it is sleep/idle or overnight.

I read a news which says vendors would sell 240W USB-C charger at the end of this year, hope they also have docks with more wattage. HP has a 230W: HP Thunderbolt™ Dock 230W G2 (2UK38AA) . I do not have one to test but it may work on Omen machines.

Regards.
