- Is it possable to use 4gb ram and 16gb ram together? Or just buy 8gb+8gb ram?
- There is a 2 slots.
- I can't find about this laptops ram anywhere.

You should have no problem installing a 16 GB DDR4-3200 CL22 memory chip in the empty slot and have 20 GB.
The memory will only run in single channel mode like it is now since the memory capacities have to match in each slot to get dual channel performance.
HP only has the service manual for the original 14s-dq0xxx model series available, so the memory info is out of date.

You can use existing 4GB + 16GB = 20GB but what for ? Just saving few dollars ? You can use RAM from
