I would like to increase the available RAM of the laptop. If it is possible, will there be a guarantee on the addition or not?

Hello, it is in effect possible, and if this operation is made properly you don't loose the warranty. It is just recommended to restore the factory configuration if you need to return your PC. 

 

You can find it your maintenance guide: 

 Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Page 1 it is written you can install up to 16 Gb of RAM in 2 slots of 8 Gb, but I don't know the frequency. 

 

For check this please tell us the Product Number (P/N) from your PC.
