Is it possible to add a 3200mhz ram in 15-ay503tu as system should able to down cast ?  I know it's a crazy idea but I may switch to a new laptop soon so I want to buy a ram that I can use  it in new laptop.

Hi:

I think it is a good idea if you want to re-use the memory in a notebook that can run it at 3200 MHz.

That would be quite a drop, but it should bridge to 2133 MHz.

As far as the brand you chose, that I can't guarantee will work.

Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp 15 series | HP 15-ay503tu | Crucial IN

You may want to see if you can get the 8 GB 3200 MHz Crucial memory chip the above report recommends in India.
