Spectre x360 15-df0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I'm planning to increase my disk space on my Spectre by adding a Samsung 970 EVO Plus.

My question is whether I have to replace the existing one inside the laptop or if there is a second space for another SSD.

Thanks for your help.

Best Regards

What is your Spectre x360 15-df0xxx ? For example HP Spectre x360 - 15-df0033dx, its specs

       https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06296487

The above machine has 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD and it does NOT have second M.2 slot for storage. From the manual, the series ONLY has following options

Support for the following solid-state drives:

  • 2-TB, 2280, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe)-3×4, Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe), DS solid-state drive with triple level cell (TLC)
  • 1-TB, 2280, PCIe-3×4, NVMe, DS solid-state drive with TLC
  • 512-GB, 2280, PCIe-3×4, NVMe, SS solid-state drive with TLC
  • 256-GB, 2280, PCIe-3×4, NVMe, SS solid-state drive with TLC

and NO option for secondary storage. That means you have to use 1TB or 2TB M.2 SSD.
