Hi there, I was wondering if you could replace the Intel Optane with something else, Since I believe they stopped manufacturing the Intel Optane? Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA

 

The reason why I'm asking is that I'm having trouble with the drive.. I in the past had to send it to HP for repairs and I am now having trouble with the Intel Optane and was wondering if I can use another type SSD....

Yes, you can replace Intel Optane using standard M.2 NVMe SSD (but it may run slower). You have to do properly otherwise machine won't boot.

 

There are many good tips on youtube such as
