Hi. I have just bought a HP Envy x360 15-eu0012no with a ryzen 5 5500u and 8 GB RAM. I would prefer to upgrade the memory to 32 GB, however it is not officially supported. Has anyone tried to upgrade to 32 GB and if it worked, what memory did you use? I am also looking at a 2x8 2666mhz CL16 memory if 32 GB is not possible. Will the memory work even though it is CL16?

You're very welcome.
I don't recommend buying the gaming memory (memory with a faster CL) than the standard memory.
That is because your notebook comes with memory with the standard CL timings for the speed of the memory.
While the faster memory may work, it also may not.
That is because you cannot make any memory XMP/timing adjustments in the BIOS.
So, go with the standard DDR4-3200 Crucial memory (the memory with the green circuit boards).
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with any issues you are having with Linux.
I suggest you post any questions regarding Linux drivers on a Linux forum.
Apparently this link has a driver that may work for your Realtek AX wifi adapter in Linux.

Hi:
Your notebook uses DDR4-3200 memory.
I do not recommend that you buy slower memory. At the very least, it will slow down your PC.
The Crucial memory report for the model series indicates that you could install 2 x 32 GB of memory.
You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support...
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
I recommend that you buy this 2 x 16 GB memory kit offered by Crucial...

Hi.
Thank you for your answer. It was very thorough.
My laptop seems to support up to 32 GB DDR4-3200 memory.
Do you know if cache latencies makes a difference, since there is also 32GB CL19 3200MHZ on crucial's website?
I have also installed Linux on this laptop, everything works great except the wifi. It simply does not detect the wifi. Do you know if there are any solutions to this?
