Hello, do you want to install a recent processor in this PC??

If yes I am sorry but it is not possible, your motherboard can only support processors from this generation. The better processor you can install can be a Core i7 from your PC's year, you can check on your maintenance and service guide:

HP Pavilion G6 Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service Guide

We can see at page 83 the best processor you can install with disassembly all your laptop is this one:

Intel Core i7-2620M processor (2.7 GHz, SC turbo up to 3.40 GHz, 4 MB L3 cache), Dual 35 W

HP reference: 631252-001

You can check to find this CPU on eBay for example, or other CPU mentioned in the manual.
