I was wondering if anyone in the HP Community knows if it's possible to upgrade the RAM on my HP Notebook 14-dk0010.
It comes with 4 GB DDR4-1866 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB). I'm hoping to improve my children's experience with their online learning!
I'm a Mac user so please forgive my ignorance in the PC world 🤓
Thanks in advance!

Hi:
Yes, you can upgrade the memory, but the service manual is very confusing.
Maintenance and Service Guide HP 14 Laptop PC
If you look at chapter 1, it indicates in one section that notebooks with the A9 processors have two memory slots and you can upgrade to 2 x 8 GB of memory.
Then lower down the page, it indicates that notebooks with the A9 processors have one memory slot, and the max is 1 x 8 GB.
Memory Two memory module slots
Memory is non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable
DDR4-2400 dual channel support (Ryzen, Athlon processors)
DDR4-1866 dual channel support (A9/A6/A4 processors)
Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following conƭgurations
● 16384 MB (8192 MB × 2)
● 12288 MB (8192 MB × 1 + 4096 MB × 1)
● 8192 MB (8192 MB × 1 or 4096 × 2)
● 4096 MB (4096 MB × 1)
One memory module slot (A9/A6/A4 processors)
Memory is non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable
DDR4-1866 single channel support
Supports up to 8 GB of system RAM in the following configurations
● 8192 MB (8192 MB × 1)
● 4096 MB (4096 MB × 1)
So, I recommend you open up the notebook and check to see how many memory slots the notebook actually has before buying memory.
If it has one slot, you can remove the 4 GB memory module and replace it with an 8 GB memory module.
If it has two memory slots you can either add another 4 GB memory module or max it out with 2 x 8 GB of memory.
This would be a compatible 8 GB memory module for that model PC.
