Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

The supported processors can be found in chapter 1.

According to the manual, the only Phenom processor supported is the AMD Phenom II Champlain P820 25-W.

Doing a search by HP 625 processor upgrade did not turn up anything that answers your question.

In theory the P960 might work since it is in the same processor family as the P820 and it is also 25 Watts.

But if the BIOS does not have the microcode to support the P960, it won't work.

Yes, I have read it.

Just wondering if I can put a more powerful processor like Champlain P820.

There is no list of compatible processors.
