My personal laptop info:  HP laptop 15-fd0083wm. Product: (7L2C7UA)

Trying to find out if my HP Laptop is compatible with my new HP USB-C G5 Essentials docking station.

I bought the same exact set up that I have at work. My laptop is the only difference. I have an HP home laptop for personal home use (this is the laptop with the information listed above.) My work laptop is HP but different model. When all of the monitors and docking station arrived at my house, I set it all up exactly like it is set up at work. The problem is that I can't get my two monitors to show the screen that's displayed on my laptop. I retraced all cables to verify I have everything plugged in correctly. It still would not display on my other additional monitors. So, i had an idea, I grabbed my work laptop and plugged it into my docking station and BAM! my other two monitors showed the same display as my HP work laptop. Could my personal laptop not be compatible with my HP docking station?

Your PC's USB-C port only supports data transfer.

It does not support a dock, nor does it support connecting a monitor directly to the USB-C port.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the USB port specs.
