Hello!

I just received a new battery for my laptop. I am adding a photo of it and of my old battery. while it does have an hp logo, I am not sure it's really original becuase of the price and more.  It's not identicle to my battery btw. anyway, is it original? (BLACK BACKGROUND IS OLD RED BACKGROUND IS NEW)

and 2, in case I am keeping in and using it, what should I do? I start school in 50 days, and I thought I am going to just leave it in the box until school starts to have me my best battery life in school but my dad says I should put the battery in now and that it needs to be used a couple of times to get to its maximum life. If that's why I should do, then how am I treating the battery? I am not going to use the laptop in those 50 days becuase I have a dekstop. should I use it a week and leave it 24\7 charging? or make it full and shut down the laptop? or what? I know leaving a laptop at 0 just ruins the battery.. what should I do   ?

and lastly, when I do put the battery in what are my first actions? do I charge it to 100 and then take it to zero or what exactly should I do? how to make the best out of it? I know you should do something but not sure what.

Thanks a lot!

Hello

the label is different but It looks like it's an original Hp Battery or at least the plastic external case looks like an HP original but you don't know what is inside.

You have to plug it inside the notebook , charge up to 100%, the discarge to zero. do it 3 times and go ahead with it.

bye
