Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey,

So I was looking to upgrade my RAM to 32gbs.

And I found CT16G4SFRA32A from crucial is compatible.

So I am planning on buying two memory sticks of CT16G4SFRA32A instead of CT2K16G4SFRA32A (huge price difference) But I am a bit confused... From Crucial's website it seems that the ram can be 1rx8 or 2rx8. Will it be a problem if I get one 1rx8 and one 2rx8. Will mixing the rank create problems ?

Also if I get two sticks of 2rx8 it shouldn't be a problem, right?

Hi:

The CT16G4SFRA32A is what they recommend as compatible with your notebook.

Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com

It doesn't list the number of memory ranks in the specs, but it should not make a difference.

You can look up the differences and advantages between single and dual ranked memory at the link below.
