@Ofer_Stetten, It's great to hear from you again.
I appreciate your efforts for getting back to us.
As you laptop came with a capacitive touch screen it detects a break of current when an object like your finger or a stylus presses down on the touch screen. Unlike an active digitizer, direct contact must be made and you can hover the stylus over the screen. A capacitive touch screen only detects where you are touching the screen, how hard or at what angle you are touching like an Active digitizer screen will do.
And your laptop should support the stylus listed in my previous thread.
Hope this answers your query!
Take Care! 🙂

This is strange. I bought my wife a Spectre that is stylus compitable, while my spectre is not compitable.
This is frustrating.
I assume that I can not do anything (add driver) to get my computer to work with a stylus pen...???

@Ofer_Stetten, Thanks for your quick response and time.
I appreciate your efforts for getting back to us.
As you mentioned you got another spectre and the stylus is compatible with that laptop.
There are only a few models in Spectre laptops which are compatible and designed to work with the stylus.
Since your laptop is not designed to work with the stylus. You cannot use HP stylus on your laptop.
However, you can try using a third party universal stylus.
I have found a universal stylus for your laptop.
You can purchase the stylus from Targus website.
Hope this helps!

Hi Mr Robot,
thanks for your support and for recommedning a pen which is not hp (I realize that you work for hp - so this is much appreciated!)
If you dont mind one more question to clarify: I thought that not all touch screen are pen compitble. ...
When looking on my control panel (see attached screenshot), I see that I only have touch support on my computer (NO PEN support). My wife computer is Pen and Touch support. So, can I really use a pen on my computer?
