My notebook is running slower and slower but is still in a pretty good fashion. So I intend to replace the harddisk drive by a Solid State Drive. I suppose that this is possible and would like to know, if there are any obstacles I need to overcome. Please let me know, what to obey when I replace the HDD by a SDD-Clone.
I would be appreciated getting some answers.

You're very welcome.
If you see a lot of dust you may want to gently clean it out somehow.
I never took a notebook apart to clean it, so I really can't advise you what to do.
I have read several posts on the forum from hapless folks that 'took their notebook apart to clean it, and now it won't work.'
So, my advice with cleaning would be to proceed with extreme caution.

Hi:
Yes, you can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.
A very good idea to do so.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
In my opinion, this drive provides the best performance for the price.
This is the 500 GB model which would have the same storage capacity as the original drive.

If you want to clone the existing drive's configuration to the SSD, you would need to buy a SATA to USB cable, and you can use the free Macrium reflect software to clone the existing drive to the new SSD.

Thank you for providing me with all the information so far.
Since I am preparing for that replacement, which requires a lot of parts/screws to be moved out and back into the notebook anyway, I am thinking about cleaning the parts for cooling like fan and any grids which may be obstructed by dust also. Do you recommend me to do this by the way or is this not necessary to do, usually? (Never touch a running system)
