Is the 4GB RAM on the HP 15-ac135ds expandable? To what RAM and replace or add?

Can this 15-ac135ds be upgraded from 4GB RAM to more? If so do I replace or add? I cannot find the specification for possible expansion.

Hi:

You posted that you are running W10 32 bit. 

In order to make use out of additional memory, your notebook needs to be running a 64 bit operating system.

Your notebook has one memory slot, and the slot can take a max of 8 GB.

So in order to upgrade the memory, you would need to remove the 4 GB memory chip and replace it with an 8 GB memory chip.

This would be a compatible memory chip for your notebook.

Since you have to open up the notebook, you may also want to consider replacing the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).

If you can live with 500 GB of storage, this model provides the best performance for the price, in my opinion.
