Is the Battery in the HP Pavilion I5-c1004na Laptop a 3-cell or 4-cell battery, please?

This HP laptop was purchase at John Lewis i 2019, and has been in use in South Africa since then.

I need to purchase a replacement battery, and need to be sure I choose the correct battery.  At link https://www.thelaptoppowersupplyshop.co.uk/hp-pavilion-15-cs1004na-3-cell-laptop-battery-302170, the following information is supplied:

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION! Please be aware that this laptop takes one of two types of battery. Your laptop will have either a 3 cell battery (HT03XL) or a 4 cell battery (LG04XL). Please ensure that you choose the correct battery for your laptop.

Please note, I will be buying the replacement battery in the UK on arrival from South Africa, shortly. I do not wish to 'tamper' with battery removal to determine number of cells. Thank You in advance for your assistance.

Can't find HP specs for Pavilion I5-c1004na.

If your model is actually 15-cs1004na, it comes with a 4-cell 68 Wh Li-ion battery.  See this HP specs.

Service manual (on pages 4 and 21-22) states 15-cs1xxx model series comes with either a 3 or 4-cell battery depending on type of a graphics device installed.

Since your notebook comes with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce, you need a 4-cell battery with HP part number # L32654-005.

A replacement battery needs to reference this part number.

Thank you very much indeed tk_srq for your valuable feedback. Not being  technical, I had no idea that the graphics card determined the number of cells in the installed battery. Each day one learns something new and I am very thankful that experts like yourself are out there, willing to share your knowledge to assist technically challenged folk such as myself.
