Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.

 

Since your notebook came with a 1 TB 2.5" mechanical hard drive, the M.2 slot is free to add either a SATA or NVMe SSD.

If you decide to go with NVMe, I personally like the SK Hynix Gold P31.  I have it in my Pavilion 15-eh0095nr.  What sold me on it was its performance to watt ratio, which means it will run cooler and will result in longer battery life.
