My 15-da0002dx came with a a LITEON CV-8E128-HP SSD hard drive and I am looking to upgrade. However, the storage controller is called Intel Chipset SATA/PCIE RST Premium Controller.
Does that mean the laptop will accept either SATA or PCIE internal SSDs? Or do I need to do something to figure out which I have? The spare part list in the manual isn't very helpful, it isn't specific to this model and lists SSDs of various sizes.

Hi:
The SSD your notebook currently has is a SATA one.
According to the crucial memory report, the M.2 slot your notebook has will take either a SATA or NVMe SSD.

The service manual, IMHO is of no help because it shows different model numbers and they all have AMD processors.
There is a service video library which should help you get inside the notebook.

If you look on eBay, it appears that folks are yanking the drive you have out of new notebooks, and putting them up for sale.
They must be exchanging them for NVMe models.
